iChalky for the iPhone

I've had iChalky on my iPhone for a while now. It doesn't serve any useful purpose, but, it is mindless fun when you need it. Basically, it's a stick figure that has a weight assigned to the arms and legs and dances around the screen in response to gravity as measured by the iPhone's internal accellerometers. I played with it for a while but stopped. They just updated it to allow you to assign a face from your photo library (or from the cmera) to the little guy. Suddenly, it's
fun again. I tried it with each of my family members before I settled on using Mojo's mug. I'm using the attached photo as my wallpaper now.

Relaxing and watching TV

I took the afternoon off, today and decided to relax on the couch for a bit right after lunch. If you watch TV and Mojo's tired, he'll snuggle right up on your lap. In fact, if you push him off, he'll
slowly skink back onto your lap an inch at a time. Anyone who thinks pit bulls are born mean just don't know the real story. There's nothing more important to him than pleasing me. As with all pit bulls, he's his own worst enemy in that if I wanted him to behave badly, he'd do it just to make me happy. Being that I just want a sweet family dog, he's happy to be just that.

I present to you, this ball

Here's my pit bull, Mojo, presenting me with his favorite ball. What be wants, ostensibly, is for me to throw it so he can run after it. I say ostensibly because if I make any movement toward the ball as if I am going to pick it up, he snatches it right back in the blink of an eye. Jerk.

Mojo, my 2 year old pit bull was laying down minding his business when I repeatedly called him. I guess he just didn't feel like looking but I was persistent. Finally, when he did look over at me, he gave me this look. Allci wanted was to take a picture and he definitely gave me a pose! He's quite a sweetie though. After the picture, he came over to me and went on a kiss-fest, climbing up part way onto the couch and giving me no nonstop kisses. I had to force him away. Such a goof.

Mojo the frisbee dog

Mojo takes his frisbee game seriously. As with most pit bulls, he can jump like a deer. The lighting outside was at that perfect evening time so I went inside and grabbed my camera. It's tough to be the one playing and taking pictures at the same time. I figured I'd give it one chance. As luck would have it, this is the first (and only) shot I took. He did catch it, by the way.

Two of my favorites

Here's a two for one picture. I was trying to get a shot of Mojo snuggled up on a Sunday morning. Well, I got that, plus, in the same shot, my favorite watch (that I own, anyway), my Omega Seamaster Chronograph. I've had it for at least 7 years and I still haven't put in a new battery (and I never will, it's automatic). I love the history behind the Omega brand. It's long, and in many ways similar to that of Rolex, but, has gone largely unnoticed. I'll pass this watch down to my grandkids. My pit bull, well, I'll keep him for myself.

I was just sitting on the couch minding my own business when Mojo decided to slink across the couch, onto my lap, then flip onto his back like a baby so I would scratch his belly. Such a suck up, this one.

Mojo's an 18 month old red-nose pit bull. If you've spent any time around pit bulls, then you already know that while they are powerful dogs, they are also the biggest babies in the dog world. They may be terriers, but, they're affection "hounds", too. He would slowly wiggle under your shirt in his sleep to get close to you if you let him.
